Abstract Today, the swift spread and rapid technical evolution of computing technology, together with a growing engagement from individuals interested in using such tools to improve their health and quality of life, creates unprecedented opportunities for HCI researchers to develop tailored health applications that can be deployed on a broad scale. However, to build effective solutions in this space, researchers must accommodate the behavioral, environmental, social, and biological idiosyncrasies of users. In particular, there is a need to create technologies that account for individuals’ innate biological rhythms, which govern numerous aspects of health, can be the underlying root of illness if disrupted, and are known to impact symptom testing and treatment efficacy for a variety of conditions. In this workshop paper, we discuss design opportunities for “chronobiologyaware” health technologies: a novel class of biologicallypersonalized tools aimed at helping people monitor, stabilize, and optimize their personal rhythms and, in turn, enhance overall wellness.

Background The concept of decision space holds appeal as an approach to disaggregating the elements that may influence decision-making in decentralized systems. This narrative review aims to explore the functioning of decision space and the factors that influence decision space. Methods A narrative review of the literature was conducted with searches of online databases and academic journals ...
متن کاملSocial and Psychological Dimensions of Urban Green Spaces and the Impact in Living Environment of Epistemological Studies
Many epidemiological studies have found that people living in environments with more green space report better physical and mental health than those with less green space. However, the association between visits to green space and mental health has seldom been studied. The environment surrounding residences and its recreational and commuting opportunities are believed to affect human health and...
متن کاملExploring the Meaning of Quality from Urban Space Users’ Viewpoint by Analyzing Conceptual Environment Codes
The main purpose of urban design is to create good and high-quality urban spaces and environments for people to live while such quality may not be determined only by imposing a structural, perceptual and value system of the designer. It can be said that human and his powers to perceive surrounding environments are the focus of urban design. Having reviewed previous researches and theories in re...
متن کاملCircadian typology and sensation seeking in adolescents.
The relationship of circadian typology with personality has been largely studied in adults, but there are few studies exploring such relationship in adolescents. Adolescence has been associated with a greater tendency to eveningness preference, sleeping problems, poorer academic achievement, earlier substance use, or risky behaviors, and it is suggested that this association might be mediated b...
